| Hey, i would like to get some opinions... I was wondering what your opinions are on nitrous on a 5.0/302ci mustang? How safe is it? I know i'll gain power but i dont want to blow my motor for a lousy 100hp... |

| The 5.0 motor is a beast, it will take a 100 shot of nos with no problem | |

| really? My brothers friend had a 5.0 and put a 150 shot on it with a tune and it spit the crank out when he sprayed? Thats why im asking... Not to worry tho soon after he blew his 302, he built a 11sec 347 stroker with nitrous! haha |

| If you are careful you can run a pretty big shot, even on a stock 302. I have run 150 dry on a HCI car and 225 wet on a stock motor. Its all about the tune. | |

| Faulty part in the Nitrious system did it.
But you are correct if done right you should be fine, but you really need to know the person installing / doing the tune knows thier shit | |

| Nitrous is'nt flamable itself at all. The way it works is you force nitrous into the combustion chamber(cylinder) so that you can burn more fuel faster. It's like feeding a fire with oxygen. That's why with big nitrous setups you run big fuel systems. That car burning can't be blamed on nitrous only the user. | |

| You'd be fine to spray 100-150 through a stock 5.0 bottom end. | |
